OWSD Nigeria National Chapter organises its First Leadership Training in University of Port Harcourt

The First Leadership Training of OWSD Nigeria National Chapter themed ' Leadership for Organisational Growth' has been concluded successfully
The First Leadership Training of OWSD Nigeria National Chapter themed ' Leadership for Organisational Growth' was held at the University of Port Harcourt between 15- 18 November 2022. The event recorded participation by National, Zonal, and Branch leaders from across the country (40 on-site and 27 online). The training featured lectures on Organizational types and structures; How to achieve organizational growth; Identifying and managing conflict in organizations, and Deploying diversity for effective leadership. Group tasks included a SWOT analysis of OWSD Nigeria leadership as well as practical sessions to develop a leadership scorecard. The excellent array of speakers was Prof Michael Faborode of Obafemi Awolowo University Ile- Ife (on-site), Prof Eliane Ubalijoro (Concordia University, Canada); Dr. Pushpa Murthy (University of Oregon, USA) and Charles Obochi (Global Mgt Res. Centre, Abuja) spoke online. The NC leaders who were on site, in the company of the on-site Resource Person, Prof. Michael Faborode, paid a courtesy call on the Vice-Chancellor of the University of Port Harcourt, Professor Owunari A. Georgewill who expressed delight at the opportunity to partner with OWSD Nigeria. The national chapter appreciates the support of a UNESCO/OWSD grant.
