I am an infectious disease scientist with a long-standing interest in TB/HIV epidemiology. My research career has revolved around TB/HIV co-infection, epidemiology and diagnostics and over the past 5 years, l have contributed to our understanding of the impact of Xpert MTB/RIF on patient outcomes and described the burden of TB in the Botswana antiretroviral program. My current research utilizes epidemiological models to understand the changing transmission of TB with expanded HIV treatment in Botswana. My long term interest is to lead programmatic efforts that advance TB care and control in low resource, high burden settings.
