My research interest focuses on machine learning, data mining algorithms, big data technologies, and natural language processing. I am interested in both theory and applications. Central to my current research activities is Mycobacterium tuberculosis drug resistance prediction from whole-genome sequencing data. The project involves NGS data analysis, machine learning, high dimensional feature selection, and statistical analysis. The main object of this project includes the identification of new SNPs related to MTB drug resistance and as well as developing a new algorithm for feature selection.
