The use of biomass to produce competitive polymers and composites. Composite materials from polymers based on proteins, carbohydrates and/or vegetables oils and filled with vegetable fibers/particles. Also nanocomposite materials that incorporate cellulose nanocrystals or starch nanocrystals to modify the structural and functional proprieties of the polymeric matrices. -
