I’m Dr. Eman Taha, an Associate Professor at the Egyptian Petroleum Research Institute (EPRI), specializing in solid-state physics and multifunctional polymer nanocomposites. My academic journey began at Cairo University, where I earned my Master’s and Ph.D. in Solid State Physics, focusing on the synthesis, characterization, and applications of nanocomposite materials. With over 15 years of research experience, I’ve contributed extensively to my field through peer-reviewed publications, conference presentations, and international collaborations, including a pivotal visiting fellowship at the University of New Mexico, USA. My current research emphasizes the development of eco-friendly polymer nanocomposites, utilizing recycled materials like waste rubber and plastics for advanced structural, environmental, and health-monitoring applications. I specialize in fiber-reinforced polymers, shape-memory polymers, and materials designed for radiation and electromagnetic interference (EMI) shielding, using innovative techniques such as gamma and electron beam irradiation. My work not only enhances the mechanical, thermal, and electrical properties of materials but also aligns with sustainable development goals, addressing challenges in energy storage, construction, and environmental remediation. Beyond research, I am deeply committed to scientific education, training, and promoting sustainable practices.
