My on-going PhD research work is focused on the syntheses and antipathogenic studies of some structurally-related Schiff bases and their metal complexes. These compounds will be synthesized using a variety of eco-friendly routes with the aim of ascertaining the best route for their synthesis.

Winner of the Essay Competitions for Senior Secondary Schools on the World Environment Day Celebration 2004 organized by the Rivers State Ministry of Environment, Nigeria. The topic of the essay was 'Impacts of Pollution on the Environment' and the award was presented by the Honourable Commissioner of Environment, Prof (Mrs) Roseline Konya JP.
