Engineering sciences
My research area spans from climate change impacts on hydrology to interdisciplinary water resources management (IWRM). My recent year research works incorporate diagnosing water security (via ICIMOD collaborative project as PI), process understanding of shallow aquifer recharge mechanism (via IFS project as PI), development of IoT enabled data logger and analyses of groundwater levels (via ICT project as PI), synthesis of water histories related to interactions between environmental change and human activities (via GCRF collaborative project as Co-I) and hydraulics of surface water system (via FFEWAS collaborative project as Co-I).

Current profession
Current professional activities type:ResearchTeachingI have been strongly engaged in several collaborative research projects as a PI as well as a Co-PI that involved understanding Hydro-social Deltas, WASH & MHM challenges, Policy Consultation about SDGs with a focus on groundwater and gender, Transnational Policy Dialogue for Improved Water Governance, etc. Otherwise, I work, broadly speaking, in the area of hydrology linking the technical with the social aspects of water management. That is why I have been teaching postgraduate courses called ‘Gender and water’, ‘Groundwater hydrogeology’ and ‘Interdisciplinary Field Research Methodologies’ in my institute. I have also been mentoring SAWA (South Asian Water, i.e., female) fellows with their MSc theses to incorporate Gender as a cross-cutting issue. I am actively involved with a higher secondary school as a member of the Board of Governance and helping with the preparation of safeguarding policy for BUET.
