I am a young scientist currently working in various research activities in Rice. Previously worked on a Rice Dissemination Project, that mainly focused on the promotion of Rice cultivation in Zambia. In the course of the project, technologies were designed and these were disseminated to farmers through training. Currently doing seed maintenance, purification and multiplication of Rice germplasm. Planning to develop cropping calendars for all released rice varieties in Zambia and also create profiles for each of the released varieties so that farmers can grow varieties suitable for their Agro-ecological zones. Also in the pipeline are experiments on developing appropriate fertilizer rates for the Rice in Zambia.
