Presently, methods of soil pollutants treatment are ex-situ i.e., off-site and have side effects on physio-chemical and biological properties of treated matrices. Consistent search has been on by technology developers for methods to treat volatile organic pollutants directly on site without damage to soil properties. Hence, my research is to develop an in-situ and on-site technology for treating volatile organic pollutants using microwave irradiation principles
