My project focus on the identification of iron-regulatory proteins in Trypanosoma brucei and also seeks to identify trypanosomal transferrin receptor polymophism. Currently, with the crisis going on around the world with Covid-19 disease, I have put my project on hold and right now I am taking part to the screening of individuals to identify infected persons. My team is also looking at the eventuality to optimize and improve existing tests for the rapid diagnostic of Covid-19. -
